Wedding Table Centrepieces at Bristol Vintage Wedding Fayre
March 17, 2014
I had an amazing day at the Bristol Vintage Wedding Fayre yesterday, at The Pavillion, Bristol Zoo. If your getting married and you didn't go then you missed a treat.
I was lucky enough to be asked to add floral touches to a beautiful candy buffet table. I love collaborating with Stephanie of Sweetandpretty.co.uk and it was a real pleasure to adorn her gorgeous and glamourous, vintage-styled candy buffet, with wedding table centre arrangements and Tin Can Florals.
I met some wonderful new wedding industry colleagues and caught up with some old favourites. Pudding Bridge and The Little Wedding Helper were both there, and their gorgeous table cloths (The Sequin Collection) added a little Hollywood Glamour to the event, whilst the tuneful John P Crooner added a bit of swing to the event.
It was great to see two of my favourite, and incredibly talented, wedding cake makers too. Emma from Bake My Cake (Bristol) who creates the most beautiful vintage styled cakes, and the queen of chocolate, Lizzie, from Chocolate Delores Cakes creates the most amazing sculptured chocolate cakes that are like a work of art. I was lucky enough to get two pieces of the chocolate cake - it was laced with alcohol and felt very naughty but extremely nice (cheeky grin)!
As a lover of vintage fashion I was delighted to be situated opposite the incredibly talented Jessica Charleston who was showcasing some of her equisite vintage styled couture wedding dresses. I love her shop in Bath and it was a pleasure to finally meet the talent behind the brand. I was equally delighted to make a new acquaintance in the world of vintage bridal fashion, Heavenly Vintage Brides, who have an amazing stock of original and unique vintage bridal gowns spanning the decades. Mr Tin Can Floral would not have been impressed if he'd known just how many dresses I was tempted to take home with me!
For those of you who missed this amazing wedding fayre I've listed below the contact details for the suppliers I've menetioned in today's blog. They're all worth taking a peek at - if only for a little bit of vintage eye candy.
A huge thank you to the lovely Stephanie (Sweet and Pretty) and Ali (Bristol Vintage) for inviting me to attend. It was heavenly and a wonderful way to enjoy a sunny Sunday in Bristol. Particularly when the champagne made an appearance. What a lucky lady I am!
