Whoop! Whoop! Votes have been counted, judges have had their say, and I am truly thrilled to announce that Tin Can Floral has been entered into three categories!!
Firstly, a regional finalist for Best Florist, South West; secondly, national finalist for Best Newcomer; and thirdly! Best Wedding Industry Website. I feel truly blessed. Thank you to my very lovely brides who took the time to vote for me and the judging panel for shortlisting me.
The news that I had been shortlisted focused my mind and caused me to reflect on my journey...
Tin Can Floral will be one this month, and what an amazing year it's been. This time last year I was in the process of setting up my business and wondering how I would find some brides. Quite incredibly, a friend introduced me to a wedding planner at a local toddler group - Sweet & Pretty - and this was swiftly followed by Old Down Manor seeing my floral creations and inviting me to become a preferred supplier. These initial industry contacts introduced me to a plethora of incredibly talented wedding suppliers, only too happy to offer advice, guidance and opportunies. These amazing Bristol / South Gloucestershire based wedding suppliers continue to inspire me and are very supportive and complimentary of my creativite flair for vintage-inspired designs. Becoming part of this amazing Bristol wedding network has been a great experience and I wouldn't be ending my first year where I am without them. So, thank you to all you lovely industry friends.
In addition to crucial business contacts, It's been an absolute pleasure to craft many beautiful arrangements for local customers, national customers, and wonderful brides who have sought out my individual, vintage-inspired designs. No two designs are ever quite the same and each floral tribute is unique. I already have a lovely clutch of customers booked in for 2015 - including an Alice in Wonderland wedding and a Woodland-inspired wedding. What's more, I'm already being sought out and booked for 2016 dates! I am one very happy florist. Thank you to each and every one of you x
