Wedding flowers should celebrate your personalities, passions and dreams...
The champagne bubbles of the new year are barely flat but for those of us lucky enough to live in wedding land we are already thinking of the warmer months to come...

Despite the unpredictability of the weather here in the UK, the majority of couples still choose the traditionally warmer months to take their vows. This along with the growing trend of highly personalised weddings made an Italian inspired wedding photo shoot an exciting and unique wedding day.
Increasingly, planning a wedding is no longer the sole responsibility of the bride and her trusty spreadsheet. It's a journey that takes account of the inviduality of the couple - their personalities, passions, dreams - with the destination being as much part of their shared history as their planned future.
For this particular wedding our central focus was to create a day inspired by
olives and lemons
Thinking about these different elements immediately conjured up images of a natural, romantic, hand-tied bouquet with long, soft, green foliage and pale lemon roses with monte cassino asters dancing amongst them and finished with a simple lemon satin ribbon,
The wedding tablecentres were designed to complement the bouquet whilst further capturing the essence of the day with the addition of whole fresh lemons to the main table centre.
Sliced lemons lined the flower vases and elegantly transformed the simple glass containers, creating synergy amongst the floral arrangements and the additional elements like the products stocked in the Italian garden bar and the wedding cake.
If you're reading this journal entry because you're planning your own wedding I hope you feel inspired to plan a day that's as individual as you are. And if you'd like know how your floral arrangements can convey your personal story of love then do get in touch - I'd love to hear your plans. I love to chat flowers (especially over tea and cake!), and I generally have lots of ideas to contribute.
I think you'll agree, this video, produced by Vogue Wedding Films, beautifully captures our Italian Style wedding day - which was planned and styled by Host Event Management and Lucy Loves Weddings. I've worked with this team of wedding experts on a number of occassions and each one is an absolute pleasure to be part of.
